Apply to become a Domestic Energy Assessor Member
Viewber provides property services 7 days a week to Estate & Letting Agents, Auctioneers, Landlords, Housing Associations, Investors and Developers across the United Kingdom.
Our DEA Members carry out local EPC appointments in their spare time, on a self-employed, ad hoc basis. There are no set or minimum hours, and our members are free to accept or reject appointments as they see fit. Equally, we do not guarantee the number of appointment invitations they might receive.
Members need to provide evidence of their Domestic Energy Assessor ID and scheme, as well as have excellent communication skills, be punctual, reliable and feel comfortable working alone. Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is essential. They also need to have access to their own transport (or be happy to walk or take public transport to appointments) and be familiar with their local area. Due to the nature of the role, Members are also required to have a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), AccessNI, or Disclosure Scotland certificate, issued within the last three years, as well as relevant insurance (public liability insurance with a minimum cover of £1,000,000 and professional indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of £50,000).
If you would like to apply to become a Domestic Energy Assessor Member you will need to follow these steps:
